He went from rising star athlete to quadriplegic.  Rod overcame his physical limitations and mental obstacles to walk again\, refocus his life\, excel in his chosen profession\, and inspire others to overcome adversity and build their best life.  In 2018\, Rod wrote Get Back Up\, detailing his life journey from a wheelchair to getting back up on his feet literally and never looking back.  His book and his podcast Rocket Motivation are created to motivate others to not allow life's sometimes devasting twists and turns ruin their quest for a great life.  Rod has been practicing law for 32 years and represents doctors and other health care providers in medical malpractice lawsuits.  He is a partner with the law firm of Hand Arendall Harrison Sale.  He has been named a Best Lawyer in America.  He has three grown children and lives with his wife in Spanish Fort\, Alabama. \n\n \n\nLenise Ligon\n\nFor more than 20 years\, Lenise Ligon has paved her way through the world of journalism-through writing\, motivational speaking\, and as an award-winning news anchor and podcast reporter. Her warm-hearted interview style\, trustworthy \n\npersonality\, and passion for delivering the news accurately are some of the reasons why she is a reliable presence in her community. Before working her way to the Gulf Coast\, Lenise worked as an entertainment host for WDIV in metro-Detroit\; a reporter in Youngstown\, OH\; an anchor in Saginaw\, MI\; and a co-anchor of the morning and noon newscasts on WBTV in Charlotte. \n\nLenise received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Spanish from Michigan State University. With a passion for speaking at schools and devoting time to various community organizations\, Lenise has received many awards for volunteerism. For her long-time involvement and hard work\, Lenise has also been recognized by the American Heart Association for her dedication to educating the public on the importance of maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle. Practicing what she preaches\, Lenise is an avid marathon runner and vegetarian.
