Fire Chief, Saraland Fire Rescue Department

I have been employed by the Saraland Fire Department for twenty-one years. I was born and raised in Saraland and currently reside here with my wife, Heather, and two children, Brady and Raegan. I am passionate about our community's safety and hope to lead the fire department into the next chapter of growth for our city. We have a great group of men and women in our fire department, and I am honored to be a part of it. I look forward to making the most of this opportunity to lead in the City I have called home my entire life.

Bryson McDaniel
Police Chief, Saraland Police Department

Chief Bryson McDaniel has proudly served in law enforcement since 2013, building a distinguished career marked by leadership, tactical expertise, and a steadfast commitment to public safety. During his service, he has been a valued member of both the K9 Unit and the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit, where he demonstrated exceptional skill, discipline, and teamwork.

Chief McDaniel is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, joining an elite network of law enforcement leaders from across the nation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Faulkner University, providing a strong foundation in criminal justice, organizational leadership, and strategic management.

Throughout his career, Chief McDaniel has received multiple departmental awards and commendations in recognition of his professionalism, dedication, and exemplary service to the Saraland community.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Chief McDaniel is a devoted husband to his wife, Shea McDaniel, and a proud father of three children. Guided by faith, family, and service, he remains deeply committed to strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the community—leading with integrity, compassion, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.
